It is not hopeless, if there are openings districts will consider new teachers because they are less expensive. However, the final word is that new teachers may have more success if they are willing to move to growing school districts outside of Cincinnati, possibly outside of Ohio. Plan to widen your job search beyond Cincinnati to make the connections you need to become a teacher.

This tabloid will be updated every year, in March or April, about a week before the Southwest Ohio/ Northern Kentucky Education Career Fair. The 2013 Education Career Fair was Tuesday, April 16.
