Several Students and Alumni have asked about resources, and sharing lesson plans. While this area is not traditionally known as Career Development, It is certainly a networking piece. The more lesson plans you share, the more frequently your name is associated with your content area. If people like your lesson plans, and use them, it is possible that you could be recommended the next time the school has an opening.
NEW EDUCATION RESOURCES: CECH LIBRARY AND LANGSAM LIBRARY
August 2012
The CECH Library provides a monthly list of new education materials acquired by the CECH Library and Langsam Library. You can find the list linked under the “CECH Library” heading on the CECH Library website, or you can access the list here:
Resources are organized by type: professional education books, teacher handbooks, children’s and YA (young adult) materials, reference, K-12 electronics and mixed materials, reserves, E-books, textbooks, ESL Collection, NASA Resource Center, CECH journals, and Langsam stacks. Within each type, resources are listed by subject according to the Library of Congress subject classification scheme. This is the same way the resources are shelved in the CECH Library or Langsam.
FEATURED ONLINE RESOURCE:
Curriculum Standardsis a new “CampusGuide” we have created that includes books and websites on Ohio and US curriculum standards. You can find this guide by going to the CECH Library website and clicking on the Curriculum Resources PreK-12 link. Then click on “Curriculum Standards.”
